Learn to Play (LTP) Program
Come hit the ice with the Mid-Missouri Tigers Hockey Club and learn to play hockey! The Tigers Hockey Association offers a comprehensive program that introduces children of all skill levels into the game of ice hockey.
The Learn-To-Play (LTP) Program will focus on skill development without the pressures of competition. Following the USA Hockey Advance Development Model (ADM), this program is built on a progressive curriculum designed to introduce beginners to the games basic skills. Participants are introduced to the skills of skating, passing, puck control and shooting in a progressive one step at a time manner. Our primary focus is on player development and fun! Program cost is $50 per session*. Equipment is available to rent with a $40 refundable deposit. All hockey participants are required to register additionally with USA Hockey for a fee of $37.
Program Goals:
- Develop basic hockey skills- skating, puck handling, passing and shooting
- Offer a safe and positive experience
- Introduce players to the concepts of cooperation and fair play
- To have fun playing hockey
