Power Skating and Skills
The Mid-Missouri Tigers Hockey Club holds Power Skating and Skills clinics each summer to promote the development of strong skating skills in a fun and positive environment. Veteran Tiger players as well as players new to the club are encouraged to attend.
Ages
Interested players of all age groups are eligible to attend.
6U (2017 birth year and younger), 8U (2015 and 2016), and 10U (2013 and 2014) will skate from 6:00 to 7:00pm.
12U (2011, 2012), 14U (2009, 2010), and 18U (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008) will skate from 7:15 to 8:15pm.
When
This summer program will begin on June 19, 2023 and end on July 31, 2023. No clinic held on July 3, 2023.
EQUIPMENT
Full equipment is required. Jerseys are not provided.
REQUIREMENTS
For the benefit of all players attending, registrants MUST have already developed the skills of forward skating, backward skating, and stopping with both feet. If you are unsure if your player has met these requirements, please ask their coach before the registration opens.
WHEN TO SIGN UP
Registration for this program will open at noon on April 1. Please note that to ensure all players are learning and receiving adequate coaching attention, the registration will be capped at 25 skaters per session (25 skaters for the 6U/8U/10U session and 25 skaters for the 12U/14U/18U/HS session). The registration will be First Come, First Serve based on submitted registrations beginning at 12:00pm on April 1. Registration is limited to current Mid-MO Tigers players or players planning to register for the Mid-MO Tigers 2023-24 season.
Summer 2023
The Mid-Missouri Tigers Hockey Club will hold weekly Power Skating and Skills clinics on Mondays from June 19, 2023 to July 31, 2023, with no ice time on July 3.
6U, 8U, and 10U will skate from 6:00 to 7:00pm, while 12U, 14U, and 18U/high school will skate from 7:15 to 8:15pm.
The fee for the six sessions will be $90 per player.
A USA Hockey number from either the 2022-23 season or the upcoming 2023-24 season will also be required and can be obtained at https://membership.usahockey.com/.
These sessions will primarily focus on skating, with minimal use of pucks. John Lamond will conduct the sessions.
